Vacation Bible School At Emmanuel Lutheran Is Much More Than Fun & Games!

2010 Recap:

One Day---one choice…made a difference….forever… AND ONLY GOD KNEW THEIR NAMES! 

There are many stories in the Bible where the hero is nameless to everyone but God.  At Hero Headquarters VBS, we learned about some of these special heroes whose small acts were used by God to do wonderful things. With the help of Water Woman, Mack, Pizza Girl, and all of the other dedicated VBS helpers, the kids at VBS saw how a servant girl, shepherds, an Army officer, and a boy with a basket of food were able to do great things through faith. 

Our VBS kids were also able to join forces with God by helping with service projects: Cards for sick children, "Birthday in a Box" kits for a food pantry, care packages for soldiers serving overseas, and favors for Meals on Wheels.  Plus, parents, grandparents and friends were able to join our forces on Friday to make children's activity bags for a womens shelter. Service projects at VBS reinforced our theme of everyday heroes!  

VBS is over for 2010, but we will soon start thinking about 2011!  We already have tentative dates:  July 25-29, 2011.   We will update this page as more information becomes available.
